Seriously 4 WEEKS on crutches with a 16 month old baby at home????

I’m finally coming out of the fog of drugs, but maybe going back to sleep would be a better thing because I’m still in a lot of pain and the realization of being on crutches for 4 weeks and trying to care for the girls while being able to do pretty much nothing is very overwhelming. Jeff has been home this week along with my mom for a few days and my dad today. My Uncle Jim flew in last night and it looks like he will be launched into the head role of Mr. Mom next week. He’s totally game and the girls have warmed right up to him, so I’m hoping that we will be able to get into some sort of routine.
I’m still in a lot of pain and really, really hope that drilling holes into the bone marrow to attempt to stimulate new cartilage growth was the right decision. He’s the best hip doc in Seattle though, so I just need to find some patience…not easy to do with the year I’ve had unfortunately. I’ll find it again…it might just take some time.
