Merry-Go-Round and Swimming

We had a great Memorial Day weekend, but did a little too much shopping. We took the RV down to the SuperMall on Saturday and literally shopped until Sarah Jo dropped. At one point I looked and she was sleeping sitting up in her stroller. I told Mom that it must be time to go! She did take her first ride on a Merry-Go-Round which is inside the mall and her Auntie went with her. She would NOT sit on any horse, but rather just clung onto to Auntie. She was laughing and having a wonderful time and as soon as she felt it slowing down, she told Auntie “More, More!”. Overall it was a very successful shopping trip.
We just got back from swim lessons this morning. Sarah Jo is doing great and is almost too fearless of the water. Today she just decided to jump in before I told her she could. We had to have the instructor come over and help us remember that we do not enter the water until we are told it is OK to do so. Of course her little feelers got hurt when the instructor came over and used a stern voice with her. It totally reminded me of myself….but I know that I am not as fearless as this child. I just keep reminding myself that it is a great personality trait to have. 
We are really looking forward to summer and even got a little blow up pool for the deck. Of course it will not be as warm as our WaterBabies Swim Lessons, but I’m sure I will be dragging buckets of hot water out to fill up the pool just as I remember my mom doing for us. Great summer memories though, what’s better than a blow up pool in the backyard. We hope to also get her a sandbox because the girl loves to dig and plant things. My mom and I were outside yesterday planting some hanging baskets for the front porch and Sarah Jo was right there with us planting and talking away.
