Our Sarah Jo turned 5 today…

It seems impossible that 5 years ago today she entered our lives!! She had a GREAT day! We took her and Samantha to the Pacific Science Center and everyone had a blast. According to the “witness”, Samantha Jane DID not step on the butterfly that was laid out on the floor at the butterfly exhibit (we are assuming that since she did not step on it, it must have went into cardiac arrest when she started running while it flew at her). We had lunch at the CenterHouse and saw the Space “Noodle” up close. We had to head back to the Eastside in time for swimming lessons, but promised the girls that we would make a trip up to the top of the “Noodle” soon!
Swimming lessons were great and they both did amazing. Sarah Jo made sure to tell her teacher that she was 5 today..too cute! She was doing a great job kicking on her back with flippers and also treading water. Samantha now loves to go under water and whenever I bring her back to the surface, she says, “again, again!!”.
After swimming lessons, we had a picnic in the park to celebrate Sarah Jo’s big day. She got a new pink scooter that seemed to be a hit because when Sarah Jo was not riding on it, Samantha Jane was doing her best to figure it out!
Sarah Jo said it was the BEST BIRTHDAY EVER! I agreed as I saw her riding her new pink scooter down the park path wrapped in a purple bathrobe that he Aunties got her. Ahhh…to be 5 again!
