Vacation Hangover…
By Michelle | August 3, 2009

Vacation was wonderful, fabulous, terrific, and I do not want to be home! Jeff went back to work this morning after 12 days off and Sarah Jo is at Beach Week Camp. When Jeff was packing for work this morning, Sarah Jo asked him, “Where are you going??”! Wouldn’t it be great to be 5 again?
I voted that this was one of the best vacations to date. We started out at a hotel in Idaho that had an indoor waterpark attached to it, along with outdoor go-karts, bumper boats, and mini-golf. It was close to Silverwood Theme Park, so on Saturday we headed there and spent the morning at the waterpark and afternoon at the theme park. I definitely want to go again, but midweek because it was crowded on Saturday and we were not able to ride everything that we wanted to.
On Monday, we dropped LeLe off at the Spokane Airport and then headed to the RV resort at Little Diamond. Jeff, I, and the girls stayed in a little cabin, while Nana and Papa stayed in their RV. On Monday and Tuesday we had lightening storms (and even a tornado warning) while Seattle was hitting record degrees of 100+! After the weather calmed down a bit, we were able to fully enjoy the resort by going for nature walks, feeding our resident prairie dogs, checking out frogs, hitting golf balls, playing on multiple swing sets, and of course swimming. The only thing that we were unable to do this time was the paddle boats because of the weather, but we promised Sarah Jo that next time we would be sure to get it in.
We headed back to Redmond on Friday and on Saturday Jeff and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary. Wow, 11 years! I told him that if he would have asked me on our wedding day how old our kids would be on our 11th wedding anniversary, I would have definitely not said 2 and 5! It is perfect though and exactly how it is supposed to be. Jeff and I were able to catch a movie on Saturday afternoon and opted to hold out for a nice dinner after my treatment is completed. I love you Jeffie, thanks for a great 11 years! You are the best guy ever!!
I start my low iodine diet on Wednesday and have treatment next Wednesday. Honestly I was pretty depressed about it until yesterday. I now feel strong and positive and know that we will once again get through this!
Thank you for all your continued support, emails, prayers, and calls. Keep storming heaven with prayers….I know it is working!
