Snow Day and Words to Live By…
By Michelle | January 28, 2008
After my complaining yesterday, we finally got our snow day…yeah !! Of course, it was not predicted, so it was awesome to wake up to about 3-4 inches of snow this morning! Daddy worked from home and got to take a few breaks to play in the snow with the new sled that Sarah Jo and Sammy Jane got from Papa and Uncle Jimmy for Christmas. We also made a great snowman (he is already melting though, bummer!). We got lots of pictures that we hope to get on the website soon. It is the first "official" snow day of the year…we did have one the Saturday after I was released from the hospital, but I have no memory of it except pictures of Sarah Jo in the snow…so I’m making today the "first official" one! Nana was able to come over and play for a little while because school was cancelled, but
Papa has a bad cold so we wasn’t able to play in the snow…darn! We are supposed to get more snow tonight…we are anxiously waiting to see if their predictions are correct.
My dear friend Julie sent me these "words to live by" and it is a great reminder of how precious life is! Enjoy!
- Live with intention
- Listen hard
- Walk to the edge
- Practice wellness
- Play with abandon
- Laugh
- Choose with no regret
- Appreciate your friends and family
- Take time to do the things you love
