Swimming Dilemna; Too Tired; Sunshine; Crawling is MASTERED!

By Michelle | February 29, 2008

After 6 weeks of committment, I’ve decided that poor little Samantha Jane no longer has to go through the half an hour torture of swim lessons.  I pulled her out of the last 3 lessons today and will not be signing her up for the next session.  I definitely think she is our sensitive one and completely reminds me of Jeff and myself.  As you all know, Jeff is a pretty sensitive guy, so we were destined to have one little girl that is going to hang on with all her might to both of our legs when the day comes to drop her off at preschool!  My predication right now is that it is going to be our little Sammy Jane.  I think that Sarah Jo will look at us, wave, and say, "Don’t let the door hit ya!" (exactly like my sister by the way, how the heck did that happen?!)  Of course I love Sarah Jo’s infectious energy, but on the flip side, I adore when Sammy Jane meets someone new and tucks her head down into her Daddy’s shoulder as if to say, "I don’t know you and I need to observe you awhile before I determine whether or not you are OK!".  That is so me and the girl’s relationship already reminds me a lot of my sissy and I.  The great news about that is that  we are best buds and never tire of spending time together.  It is nice to have a best friend who is actually your sissy!  :)

Since my body seems to love pregnancy horomones, it had grown a large mole behind my ear that needed to be removed.  The mole was small before I got pregnant with Samantha, but had gotten bigger and changed shape and size, so I went in yesterday to get it removed.  Of course it took longer than expected and they had to take a large area out, but compared to having your thyroid removed, it was nothing.  The doc said he was pretty certain that it was just a mole, but better safe than sorry, so he wanted to get it out!  Mom is at home helping with the girls today and they are actually outside on Nana and Papa’s deck right now playing in the sandbox.  Everything seems so much better with a little bit of sun!  I’ve been super tired the last 3 weeks, so we are waiting to hear back results from bloodwork that I had taken on Wednesday.  Hopefully it will give us some additional info as to why my behind is dragging!

Samantha Jane had definitely mastered the art of  crawling and I’m trying to grow some eyes in the back of my head, but they are coming in a lot slower than Sammy Jane has figured out how to get where she wants to go.  Her favorite things are to pull herself to standing and get into her sissy’s stuff.

I’m off to lay down and sneak in a quick nap…thank God for Nana’s!!
