A few more doc appointments..

By Michelle | April 29, 2008

Yesterday I went to see an orthopedic surgeon about my hip.  I’ve been getting physical therapy, but it was not getting better, so I decided to go back to the doc that did my knee surgery in high school.  The pain is really the most bothersome when I get up from the floor to standing…it just gets this little pinch in there and I can’t walk until it works itself out.  It is amazing how many times you go from the floor to standing with two little ones at home.  The good news is that my ultrasound and x-ray both look good, so I’m getting an MRI tonight just to rule out any cartilage tears.  Not looking forward to that tiny little tube, but Jeff said it is a good quiet place to take a nap.  Did I mention I’m going to be like a whole new person when all this is behind us!!!

Sarah Jo has been diagnosed with eczema on her face, but it seems to worsen with foods that she eats so we are taking her to an allergist on Thursday.  She’s not too excited, but it will be good to find out what is making it flare up.  She is so fair that any redness looks "really red" on her poor little face.  I did get some steroid cream from the pediatrician, but I’m not a big fan of treating the symptoms when we don’t know the cause.

After all of these doctor appointments this week, we are heading to Great Wolf Lodge (www.greatwolf.com) on Sunday-Monday.  The aunties are going with us and we are looking forward to playing at the water park until we possibly cannot play anymore!  We wanted to do something fun with the girls before I become a slug for the summer and this hotel is brand new in Grand Mount Washington so we thought what the heck?? Sarah Jo is SO excited and she yells out "Great Wolf Lodge" every once in awhile…pretty funny! Hopefully the girls will be cold free by Sunday, I think it is going to be a race again time, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

I will blog how our doctor appointment goes with Sarah Jo on Thursday and when I hear back from the orthopedic surgeon regarding my MRI results on my hip (probably early next week).  In the meantime, I see a tiny little slice of Seattle sun poking through the grey cloud cover, so we are going to go and enjoy it if we can.

Hugs and Love!!
