Great Wolf Lodge and First Steps!!!!
By Michelle | May 7, 2008
Samantha Jane took her first "official" unassisted steps on Saturday night. I was trying to pack to get ready for Great Wolf Lodge, but daddy got the video camera out and we captured quite a few little steps. She continues to take more risks and life is about to get even more busy around here. She is into EVERYTHING and Jeff and I both agree that she has just as much energy as Sarah Jo did at this age. I think we are in for one heck of a ride!!
Great Wolf Lodge was FABULOUS and I could have definitely stayed another night. We got there on Sunday afternoon and it was still pretty busy from the Saturday night guests, but it thinned out late Sunday and was pretty quiet on Monday. We had a great time and Sarah Jo was just beside herself. She took one look at the water park and said, "let’s go!!". The girl has absolutely NO FEAR and she started out on the small kiddie slides, but took one look at the bigger slides and said, "let’s go!!".
My sis and I checked out the slides and I thought no way my petite little girl could go on that huge slide! Le Le asked the lifeguard if Sarah Jo could go down the slide and the lifeguard said yes that there was no height limit on it. So without hesitation, she climbed the steps with Le Le, sat right down and off she went….laughing the whole entire time. I waited at the bottom with Samantha and out she shot with a huge grin on her face. The kiddie slides were nothing compared to this and she much preferred the "big" slides to the kiddie ones…the kiddie ones are just for kiddies of course! She is definitely going to be our extreme sports girl! The wave pool, the slides, the water basketball, the arcade, the smore dessert, the cool lodge hotel room, it was all perfect. When you ask Sarah Jo what her favorite thing was, she says, "EVERYTHING!!". I think that is a successful little getaway! Oh and my sister and I decided to go on the "tornado" on Sunday night when we had a few minutes by ourselves. The ride was pitch black and CRAZY, but so much fun. My heart was actually beating out of my chest when we got to the bottom, when it was so fun we went again. Times have changed, this time I had to persuade my sister into going again…so different than when we were growing up. She is pushing 40 you know!

We pulled the trigger and bought a new LG washer and dryer last weekend. I’m looking forward to having them delivered on Friday, hopefully the dryer will hang in there a few more days!
I haven’t heard back from the orthopedic regarding my MRI, but I did call today and will call again tomorrow. No news is good news.
