Samantha Jane turns 1!!!!!

Sunday, June 1st, our baby girl turned 1!! We cannot believe it! We had a little party to celebrate her big day and she really enjoyed the cake (daddy took some video and posted it on the website, check it out!)http://kujath.smugmug.com/gallery/5075056_Tub6W#305948900_oFktF
My Uncle Jim came out to Seattle to visit us the past week and we had a blast. The girls absolutely adore him and LOVE having an extra playmate around. Sarah Jo talked his ear off and kept him on his toes. Samantha was pretty wobbly on her feet when he arrived, by the time he left she was walking across rooms by herself. It seems like she is getting more stable on her feet each hour. I’m not sure we are ready, but Sarah Jo is more than ready to have her baby sister chase after her. While Uncle Jimmy was here he got to attend music, gymnastics, and swimming class with Sarah Jo. She was so proud to show off her skills to him. Since we have been waiting on the mama pig to have her piglets, Sarah Jo wanted to make sure that Uncle Jimmy was up on the action so we visited the farm numerous times while he was here. Last night, the very last night he was here, we checked, and the mama finally had her babies. There are 14 little piglets and they were born on May 31st! The barn was closed last night when we got there, so mom and I took the girls out this afternoon and we got to spend a lot of time checking them out. Sarah Jo was just giggling with delight, it was so cute. I have to say, those are some cute pigs, but then the reality of a 500-700 lb adult pig sets in and brings you back to the real world. The keeper told us today that both the goat and lamb are due in July, so it looks like we will be having lots of trips back to the little farm this summer.
It actually feels like winter here today! It is dark, gloomy, and rainy! Come on summer, where are you?? My uncle said that it was 86 in Kansas City when he landed and my sis called and said it could not be a more perfect day in Vegas. OK…enough about the sun from all those places!
I started coming off my thyroid meds on Friday and am doing OK, just tired. I’ve been getting some headaches and achy joints, but those were all symptoms I had when my thyroid was too low before, so I’m not worried. Nice to know that once we get to the other side, I will feel better I figure that anyone can do anything for a month and I just keep thinkin’ it could be so much worse!
We see the hip doctor tomorrow regarding my torn labrum and I’m looking forward to getting some information regarding a treatment plan for that. This doctor has a great reputation and is hard to get into see, so it is nice that we were able to get an appointment before summer I want to have all my systems back in workin’ order by the time I’m 36…heehee.
Thanks for all your emails, calls, prayers, and positive thoughts. We are very positive that this will all be behind us soon. Only one request, if you have any extra sun, please send it our way…with no thyroid meds on board, it is a little difficult to get outta bed to dark clouds and rain…heehee!
