Urgent Care Visit

On Thursday afternoon (my parent’s 41st wedding anniversary), Sarah Jo took a tumble off the couch and hit her head. I didn’t really think anything of it until a few hours later when she started to throw up. I’m pretty calm in emergencies (at least I think I am, but Jeff might have a different opinion), but I started to freak out when Sarah Jo was lying on the couch screaming, “oh my God my head hurts so bad, somebody help me!!”. Yep, I freaked out a lot at that point! Of course poor Sammy Jane was screaming because she really needed an afternoon nap and my mom was at work and Jeff wasn’t at his desk. My dad happened to call right when I was trying to load both of the girls in the car to head down to Urgent Care….poor guy!! After I talked to him, Sarah Jo started to fall asleep in the car, but luckily I got a hold of Jeff and he headed to Redmond to meet us and I was able to get a hold of my mom who took Sammy Jane while I ran Sarah Jo down to the doctor. Mom and dad had to cancel their dinner reservations, but they did so without one complaint of course. Thanks to MomK and Uncle Sam for saving the day and bringing over pizza for all of us to eat that evening. Sarah Jo is just fine and the doc said I did the right thing because any sign of sleepiness and/or vomiting is not a good thing. He also said that a pupil change is one of the last signs that something is wrong, so it was good we brought her in. Of course when you wait at the office for over 2 hours to be seen, you question that decision, but after being puked on twice I thought it was better to be safe than sorry!
