WHEW!!

By Michelle | December 13, 2008

Both of the girls are not feeling 100% right now. It has been an extremely busy few days and I’m glad that we had nothing at all planned for this weekend because darn I’m tired! Last weekend was perfect with our trip on the “Santa Train”, the little train ride at Redmond Town Center, and a trip to Molbaks to check out all the indoor Christmas decorations. This past week brought swimming lessons (2 for Samantha), two church services, the baking & frosting of 8 dozen cookies for the Faith Lutheran Christmas Concert which took place last night (we hope to post pictures and video on the website soon…so cute…I was tearing up…I’m going to be a wreck when they graduate!!), and professional pictures with Santa Claus after the concert at Crossroads Mall. Of course last night it was POURING down rain, which was supposed to be snow…but it never ever happens that way…the only time we get any snow is when they do not forecast it. I knew that since they were going on and on about it, we would not get anything significant. We did get a few flakes around 4pm and Sarah Jo went screaming through the house, waking daddy up (and probably the neighbors as well), but the flakes are long gone with no snow on the ground. We are still holding out hope!!

The upcoming week will bring the last week of school and work before 16 days of Xmas vacation…boy am I looking forward to that!! I hope to take the girls to daddy’s office next Friday afternoon so that we can eat dinner downtown and check out the Christmas lights at Westlake Center. Saturday my sis and I hope to do a little scrapbooking and then take the entire family to check out Snowflake Lane in Bellevue (where snow falls from downtown buildings every night at 7pm…very cool!).

Samantha Jane has her 18 month check up on Dec. 22nd, as well as Sheridan’s yearly checkup. I’m sure it will be an exciting day! Sheridan is doing OK, but it is really hard to 15 in doggie years. She seems to be getting along better than a few weeks ago when she got into some Christmas chocolate and I thought for sure she was going to go to heaven with a full belly and no regrets. But like the determined Jack Russell Terrier that she is, she fought back and is doing much better now.

Well the agenda for this evening is snickerdoodle cookies (daddy felt left out that I didn’t bake him cookies last week) and putting together the gingerbread house. It should be exciting and messy!

Fingers still crossed for a big snow blast!
